Papaya with a twist

Ingredients

  • 3 big ripe papayas (for best results, put in the fridge the day before)

  • Juice of 2-3 limes

  • A pinch of sugar


This recipe was made during the graduation of Class of June 2023 Food Ambassadors where Aisha explained that she would make this back home in Somalia served alongside her fruit cheesecake. Aisha uses baking as a means of bringing people together and wishes to open a bakery in the future.

This recipe is so simple but is incredibly tasty! As this recipe was made for a large group of people, it can be modified for a smaller group.


Method:

  1. First, peel the papaya and remove the seeds.

  2. Cut the papaya into small, bite-sized pieces.

  3. Cut the limes and squeeze out the juice.

  4. Pour the lime juice over the papaya and add the sugar when you are about to serve. This recipe used a pinch of sugar, however you can adjust it to your taste.
