Lambeth Food Hub

Established in 2020 in partnership with Lambeth Council, the Lambeth Surplus Food Hub redistributes surplus food to over 40 community organisations, tackling food insecurity and reducing waste.

Partnering with The Felix Project and City Harvest, we distribute approx.5 tonnes of food weekly to support vulnerable groups at community centres, youth clubs and children’s centres.

Recognised as a national model of best practice, councils across the UK visit the Hub to learn from our innovative approach, which combines efficient logistics with meaningful community partnerships.

We tailor provisions to meet Lambeth’s diverse needs, addressing cultural and health preferences in collaboration with local groups.

The Lambeth Surplus Food Hub is recognised as ‘best practice’ in surplus food redistribution. Councils such as Hounslow, Spelthorne, Redbridge and the Royal Borough of Kingston have visited us to learn from our successful model of community partnerships, efficient logistics, and culturally tailored provisions, aspiring to replicate our approach in their own regions.
