Sara’s work experience at HLP 🍎

Last month, we had a lovely work experience student, called Sara, come and join us at Healthy Living Platform for 2 weeks! 🍎

She got to experience the different areas of working in a food charity, from being at our pantries🥗, to working on our fortnightly newsletter 📰 and helping out at the Surplus hub 🚚.

Studying sociology, economics, and politics at A-level, Sara managed to get a further understanding of the cost-of-living crisis in Lambeth and how we are helping the local community through it.

"Healthy living platform is a great example of what different communities should start doing as it provides a safety net for those who are struggling to buy food for their families as well as helping to bring people together creating solidarity and most importantly reminding people they don't have to suffer alone."
