Christmas Community Celebration 2023

This December, we threw a Community celebration event, generously sponsored by SER contractors, bringing the community together and celebrate the hard work of our volunteers through out the year.

Despite a few setbacks with some volunteers falling ill, the rest of the volunteers and food ambassadors rallied together, demonstrating the true spirit of HLP. They stepped up to the plate, cooking a delicious feast – a scrumptious mushroom and spinach Wellington paired with perfectly roasted veggies. The aroma of he delectable food filled the air, creating a warm and comforting atmosphere.

Amidst the festivities, a local designer, Jean-Marc, added a touch of thoughtfulness to the celebration. Expressing gratitude for the hard work of the Pantry volunteers, Jean-Marc crafted beautiful table runners for them to take home. These tokens of appreciation symbolized the dedication and the positive impact they make.

The community centre buzzed with activity as families engaged in arts and crafts, creating festive decorations, ornaments an Christmas cards that they were welcome to take home with them. The sound of Christmas music echoed through the halls, creating a cheerful atmosphere that truly made it feel like Christmas had come early.
