Make your team day count

Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do at Healthy Living Platform. By joining us for a team day, your team will play a hands-on role in getting healthy food to the people and communities who need it most, from sorting and redistributing surplus at our Food Hub to supporting our community kitchen and pantries. We ask groups to make a donation towards this work, helping us sustain and grow our impact across Lambeth.

What to expect on the day

Our corporate volunteering days are hands-on, varied and social, giving your team a full picture of how our work operates.

You may support activities across:

The Food Hub

Receive and sort surplus food deliveries, organise stock and prepare food for redistribution.

The community kitchen

Prepare food using surplus ingredients and portion staple foods ready for distribution.

The pantry

Support our community food shop and help create a welcoming, inclusive environment for residents.

For full-day sessions, teams rotate across activities and come together for a shared community lunch, giving everyone the opportunity to experience different parts of our work.

We typically host:

Who is corporate volunteering for?

Groups of up to 12 people per day

Full-day sessions

(approx. 10:00–16:00)

For larger groups, we can explore splitting across sessions or multiple dates.

We ask corporate volunteering groups to make a donation to support Healthy Living Platform. We typically ask for a minimum donation of £2,000, which helps cover the costs of your team day and contributes to the wider impact of our work across Lambeth.

This level of support is important in helping us sustain this work. We understand that organisations have different budgets and are happy to have a conversation about what feels possible, while aiming to work towards this level of support wherever we can.
