Food Ambassadors Class of December 2023

We’re pleased to announce that the last group of Food Ambassadors of 2023 have all passed the course with flying colours!

A celebratory lunch was held today at Jubilee Hall attended by Food Ambassadors from past courses, their family and friends, LEAP members and Councillor Jim Dickson.

They have spent the last 4 weeks preparing for this lunch, gaining their Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene certificate along the way, allowing them to have a better understanding of how to safely prepare food for the community and opening doors of potential employment for them.

The menu consisted of Papdi Chaat served with tamarind chutney and green chutney for starters, Jackfruit tagine served with coconut rice, vegetables and bean and kachumber salad for the main and fudgy chocolate brownies served with Arabian coffee for dessert. It was a truly delicious feast!
