Moroccan lentil stew cook-along

As part of our cultural cook-alongs, Join Malika, food ambassador and one of our Healthy Living Kitchen chefs to make a delicious Moroccan lentil stew.
Malika says ‘Sometimes the best comfort food in the planet is the simplest and the quickest. On these cold winter days I often stick to my rich and yummy nutritious stews. One in particular is always a huge success. My Moroccan lentils stew, rich and flavourful sprinkled with aromatic herbs and spices. Its rich scent of thyme and cumin, makes this stew delicious and so comforting on these cold winter days. Super easy, super quick for a guaranteed success!’

These are the ingredients you will need for the session:
2 onions
5 garlic cloves
2 carrots
100 grams of dried brown or green lentils
1 potato
2 tablespoons of olive oil
Fresh or dried thyme
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon each of smoked paprika, ground cumin, ground coriander, ground ginger, turmeric
Black pepper
Chilli powder (optional)
Salt to taste
